About The Author

John M. Samson is an expert crossword puzzle constructor and editor. His crosswords have been published in leading magazines and newspapers across the country, including The New York Times. He lives in upstate New York.

Will Shortz has been the crossword puzzle editor of "The New York Times" since 1993. Mr. Shortz founded both the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, where he serves as director, and the World Puzzle Championship, where he is the captain of the U.S. team. He is the current Puzzlemaster for "Weekend Edition Sunday" on National Public Radio.

  Very tough puzzles These puzzle books have fast become my favorites. It took me a while to find them since I finished my first a year ago. I believe you better be good at puzzles if you want to try this series. Rare word use obscure clues make them difficult. I love them.

  really enjoyed this one!! started this book on a flight and then promptly left in on the plane!! I ordered another one as soon I got home!! One of the better and more challenging!!

  Rather outdated! Plenty of crosswords here over 200! Unfortunately many questions are totally outdated and are repeated throughout the book.

  LibraryThing Review Simon & Schuster does not get ignored in the En household. These are reprints from unspecified out-of-print books so I have no idea if I've already done some. At this point, I don't remember yesterday's puzzle so it's all good.
